    Experts remind: mineral water bottles should not be used as soy sauce bottles

    In life, some housewives often "sub pack" large quantities of soy sauce, vinegar and edible oil with empty mineral water bottles. Nutrition experts point out that such a "reuse" method is not desirable.


    Plastic bottles of mineral water are generally made of polyethylene. Such containers are only suitable for storing drinking water at room temperature, not for canned hot water or edible seasoning, because polyethylene will slowly dissolve and release an organic solvent harmful to human body after being corroded by high temperature or acidic solution.
